The lifeline in our church is our connect groups. They are a place to cultivate relationships and grow spiritually. They are led by amazing couples who love and pour out onto others.

On Wednesday night we had 3 of our connect group leaders speak. The messages were timely & I’d like to share with you all the knowledge that was dropped.

Jon T: Why do you call me good? Matthew 19:16-22

Jon spoke about about a man that Jesus was talking to. He said that this man thought he was good keeping all the commandments. When Jesus asked this man to give up all his possession and give them to the poor he refused therefore missing two of the greatest commandment loving God with all his heart and loving his neighbor more than himself.

He said that people are deceived when it comes to doing good and think that getting into heaven is easy. He told us that when we walk with Jesus and throw out all the other stuff It will expose all the things in our heart.

Jon said that when the truth is anointed by the Holy Spirit deception is exposed. He said that hell thrives off the blood of lukewarm and deceived Christians. We need people with passion and not religion.

Jose J: Questions Jesus asked

Jose spoke on questions Jesus asked. Some very good key points are:

Do we not understand that Jesus will never leave us. Just as he was with the disciples on the boat and calmed the wind and sea. Wont he calm the chaos in your life. He said we need to let go of our fears.

We cannot be afraid. Look around you and know that Jesus is right there.

He died for you and yet you still question him.

Will you walk away when things get hard.God is asking us to endure.

Jesus wants us to touch his robe. To be healed and restored. How can we do that? Read, pray, seek him. Despite setbacks you need to seek Jesus, push through the crowd like the woman with the issues of blood. Fight for your blessing.

Peter H: Luke 17:11-19

Peter spoke about the nine lepers that we’re healed and yet only one came back to worship Jesus.

He said that we need to be grateful. We need to love others more than ourselves. He said God can give us hope and break barriers in our lives. Love can conquer hate.
